The Swimming Pool and Spa Association of Victoria (SPASA) has moved to protect the jobs of the 10,000 Victorians employed in the swimming pool and spa industry with a $300,000 rescue package in response to Stage 3 Water Restrictions.

The Swimming Pool and Spa Association of Victoria (SPASA) today announced water would be available for the filling of swimming pools and spas in Stage 3 Water Restrictions.

The Swimming Pool and Spa Association of Victoria (SPASA) has urged all existing pool owners to maximize their water conservation plans as Victoria goes into Stage 3 water restrictions.

SPASA's General Manager, Mr. Brendan Watkins said, "The industry has taken positive steps to obtain access to groundwater to protect employment in Victoria's swimming pool and spa industry."

The Swimming Pool and Spa Association (SPASA) in Victoria today said it was investigating the potential of ground water to protect the jobs of some ten thousand Victorians and ensure a supply of water for new pools and to top up existing swimming pools.

Kit pools being installed by inexperienced or unlicensed pool builders can leave home owners with expensive legal and insurance issues, the Swimming Pool and Spa Association of Victoria warned today.

Regional and country pool owners are making up a high percentage of consumers calling into SPASA with problems and become concerned when they are made aware of the legal and insurance issues.
