Golf 2023 5

This year the Chris Dorrity Golf Day was held at the new venue of Peppers Moonah Links on the Mornington Peninsula.

We had an amazing turn out with all tickets for the day being sold out.  The morning started with an egg and bacon breakfast with muffins and juice available for player to take with them onto the course.

The day started out beautifuly with sunshine and a light breeze.  As always the play was inspired by some and creative by others.  But we can safely say that a good time was had by all.  Players were almost back at the clubhouse before the drizzle started and the wind hurried them on their way to the warmth inside.

Jason Snell spoke to the attendees about the mission of Kidsafe and spoke about the important work Kidsafe does to help reduce unintentional childhood injuries across Australia.

As the steak lunch was being served, Mel and Courtney from Kidsafe were selling raffle tickets for the "Wine in the Wall" Raffle for the chance to draw one of 30 bottles of wine (double bagged to disguise the bottles).  The major wine prize was a bottle of Sparkling wine worth $397.  A memorabilia auction was also held with Auctioneer Max Prentice and Michael Christodoulou from Prentice Real Estate ably weilding the gavel and the microphone.  Some of the items auctioned were a Shane Warne signed ball, a Kobe Bryant signed singlet and a Connor McGregor signed glove.  In all over $6,000 was raised for Kidsafe and we thank all attendees for their generosity in bidding on the auction items.

The competition was hotly contested and the winner on the day was the team from Seaspray Pools.  A big congratulations to them!

Thank you to everyone for attending and making this a fun and successful day.
