With the weather perfectly hot in the lead-up, our Pool & Spa Expo + Outdoor Living again took Melbourne by storm!
Record dollars spent on TV, radio, billboards, digital, social and print ensured that everyone in Victoria knew our event was on.
Consumer engagement was the focus and our expo delivered in spades. Exhibitors were kept busy by consumers who were hungry for everything on offer.
The feature show garden, expertly designed and built by Urban Horticultural Solutions, was a spectacle to behold and demonstrated a very clever design idea with optimum use of space.
SPASAVIC is grateful for the contribution that every exhibitor made to this expo. Hosting events such as this enhances our industry by allowing consumers to see innovative new products and speak in person with industry professionals, which increases our integrity in the minds of the public.
We were fortunate to have some exceptional stands built by our members and this made the consumer experience much more engaging. It is easy to see the correlation between a beautifully designed and presented exhibitor stand and the number of consumers milling around and engaging with the exhibitor.

Conductor Hub Pty Ltd is the manufacturer of the world's first all-in-one Equipotential Bonding solution for wet areas, known as the “Conductor Hub”. Conductor Hub are based in Queensland on the Gold Coast and pride themselves on producing an Australian made product.
AS/NZS3000:2018 (The Wiring Rules) require the mandatory formation of an equipotential bond in wet areas, including swimming pools and spas. The Conductor Hub enables builders and contractors to comply with the regulations easily and without disruption to the construction process.
What is Equipotential Bonding and Electrical Earthing?
Equipotential bonding is the practice of intentionally connecting all metallic items in a zone together to protect from electric shock. The items that form part of this equipotential bond are then given a single earth through the main switchboard of the house. Equipotential Bonding and Electrical Earthing is a two-step process to ensure electrical safety.
Equipotential bonding differs from Electrical Earthing due to earthing aiming to prevent a dangerous situation in the first place and bonding providing a protective conductor to stop any electrical current passing through metallic items not directly connected to an electrical circuit. In its most basic form, equipotential bonding is in place to minimize the risk of touch voltages.
Both Equipotential bonding and Electrical Earthing are essential ingredients for Electrical Safety within a home or place of work.
What are the requirements as per AS/NZS3000:2018
What are the requirements for a Bonding Connection Point?
A Bonding Connection point under the rules shall:
What are the risks if these works aren’t performed?
** All Wiring work is Electrical work and should be performed by a licenced Electrician **
The Conductor Hub system is available to order through all Electrical Wholesalers (eg Middys, AWM, Rexel, C&W, L&H) as well as Reece Pool & Irrigation Stores.
To celebrate becoming members of SPASAVIC, we would like to offer members a trial price of $220* for one Conductor Hub bonding system delivered to their location. (Limit is for one per member at this price).
Simply email order@conductorhub.com.au or call 07 56318155 and mention that you are a SPASAVIC member.
South East Inspection Services (SEIS) offers a fully integrated Inspection program prepared prior to attending your property and adaptable onsite to the different inspection conditions.
Their system provides customers with a comprehensive, easy to read report according to the applicable Standard, and works through the Inspection with photos included.
After an inspection has been completed, a report will be accompanied by the Form 23 Notice of Compliance ‘Certificate’ that is required by Council, who will also confirm the registration details of your Inspector. Your local Council and the VBA expect professionalism and accuracy from your Inspection Service and SEIS offers 20 years experience in the Statutory Inspections field with 1000’s of Inspections conducted.
SEIS also offers a comprehensive booking system and database history of your property. Councils will be issuing strong penalties for failing to register, late lodgements, non-compliances that are not rectified within the time given, and in some cases for issues that pose an immediate child safety risk. Care must be taken to meet the required obligations.
These requirements confirm the need for a service that provides strong and proven statutory and administrational experience.
SEIS are pleased to be new members of SPASAVIC and will strive to maintain high standards in the new Swimming Pool/Spa Inspection regulations field.
