The Federal Government has expanded the eligibility criteria for employees to qualify for JobKeeper 1.0 to make it easier for more employees to qualify for JobKeeper payments.
Before Friday 21 August 2020, employers must urgently revisit their employee’s eligibility for JobKeeper 1.0 to ensure their business stays eligible under the one-in-all-in rule and to maximise your JobKeeper entitlements.
The new changes are retrospective, meaning employers with newly eligible employees will be able to take advantage of the new change from the JobKeeper Payment fortnight commencing 3 August 2020.
Businesses may be affected in a variety of ways as a result of the spread of the Corona Virus. Initially, some businesses have been affected by employees travelling to and from countries affected, which has resulted in precautions such as self-isolation on return to Australia.
Soon we may find employees being exposed to the virus without having travelled overseas for example by coming into contact with someone else unknowingly carrying the virus in Australia. The following contains responses to the most common questions that are being asked.

Perhaps you could schedule a weekly meeting to talk about any big issues and ensure you welcome any opinions and feedback from all your employees.
It’s important to make your staff feel they’re part of the business, rather than a small cog. Be transparent about what’s going on in the company and you’ll find they’re more willing to take ownership of their role in it.
