Whilst relatively new to the pool industry, they are experiencing excellent growth through the dedication and commitment of carefully selected key distributors. These distributors are supported by a passionate team working from modern offices and service facilities at ICH Roboter Australia's Victorian head quarters in Campbellfield. Their vision includes complete suite of robotic pool cleaners for every application, so the outlook for ICH Roboter Australia is very exciting indeed.
In this edition we catch up with Director of ICH Roboter Australia, Steve Scown who fills us in on what ICH Roboter Australia can offer and a typical day in his world.
What does your business offer?
ICH Roboter Australia provides high quality robotic pool cleaners that are reliable, affordable and supported by outstanding after sales service. The iCleaner is the first range of robotic cleaners to be introduced into the Australian market and is available in a range of colours (deep blue, light blue, white and yellow).
What are the most exciting & challenging parts of your business?
Being actively involved in the development of the iCleaner range of products with a dynamic and passionate international robotics company. Our next key challenge is growing our business from state based to becoming a truly national business.
What’s a typical day in your world?
I like to be a very organised person and have a clear plan every day, however my list of activities has to be flexible, as all days are not created equal. I dive into each day and ensure all staff are clear on the priorities. The key for both staff and myself is to ensure we provide the best possible customer experience regardless of the means of communication. Activities range from touching base with key distributers, talking directly to customers, working with team to understand customer requirements to ensure future products meet their needs and frequent conversations with our manufacturer.
What’s something you’ve always wanted to do?
I know I should say something like sky diving or traveling; however what I have always wanted was to be in control of my own destiny, ICH Roboter Australia definitely ticks that box.
Who has been your greatest inspiration?
I admire Tom Hafey (AFL Great) and the qualities he inspired, his dedication, energy, creative leadership and his ability to motivate and drive a team to great performance. His legacy is an amazing inspiration in the way he lived his life and maintained his fitness and wellbeing.
